About Perry Pond Cabin
Our Story
Perry Pond Cabin is a beautiful oak clad holiday cabin on Perry Farm. The farm comprises 23 acres of rolling Devon pasture. The land is farmed organically and bursting with ecology including the replanting of hedges, creating new wildlife ponds and planting a new woodland. The cabin is powered by solar (when the sun shines) and we have our own natural spring water.
The tranquility
Perry Pond Cabin’s exactly the place you’ve been looking for. Overlooking the stream-fed Pond on the 23 acres of our small farm; the cascading sound of the waterfall just outside the door – it doesn’t get much more relaxing than this. From the deck, you can admire the rolling, wooded hills above the Exe Valley, whilst enjoying a coffee or local cider, or better yet, submerged in warm water in the outside bath. From here, you may notice the sound of owls or rutting stags in the neighbouring farm. Afternoon and evening’s are sorted, with a BBQ for afternoon grilling, and a small firepit area to huddle around for stargazing, chilling and chatting.
....Try and do very little!
If you ever manage to pull yourself away from the outdoors, indoors will turn out to be just as rewarding. Awash with warm colours and soft blues, you’ll find yourself admiring the local oak framing, the Indian doors, and Moghul arch, as you warm breakfast in the oven. Pray for rain, because this is the perfect spot to enjoy it – there couldn’t be much better way, than watching the rain dapple the pond surface as you cuddle on the sofa by the wood burner. And there’s plenty to explore nearby, this is Devon after all – but you’ll probably just do yoga on the deck, and regret nothing.
